Who writes this guide
Downtown Delray Beach is written and kept current by LPE Realty LLC, a Florida real estate brokerage (DBPR license CQ1075686) that works across South Florida. We started it because the questions that matter when you live downtown, such as whether a street closure is coming this weekend, how a resident parking permit works, or what the Tri-Rail commute to Boca or West Palm actually looks like, were scattered across a dozen pages, and several of those pages were a season out of date when we looked.
We are not the City of Delray Beach, the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority, the Community Redevelopment Agency or any venue, and no business on these pages paid to be here. The City runs the parking program and the parks; the school district sets its boundaries; each event organiser sets its own dates. Every page links to the page we read, so you can check it yourself.
How a date or a rule gets onto this site
- We read it on the organisation’s own page and record the day we read it. Each fact box prints that source and that day.
- When two official pages disagree, we print both rather than pick one.
- If something has not been announced, we write that it is not posted instead of carrying last year’s date forward.
- The neighborhood matcher, the parking picker and the date checker run on the same sourced records as the pages. Distances are straight lines from Atlantic Avenue at Swinton Avenue, and the tools say so.
- The photographs show real places in and around downtown Delray Beach and are credited with their licenses on the photo and film credits page; the home page film is assembled from those same photographs.
Other guides by the same publisher
LPE Realty LLC also publishes a small number of other independent community guides to places in South Florida. Each one is written for its own place, from its own sources, and none of them repeats this one. We say so here so that the common ownership is clear.
Drafting with AI, checking by hand
We draft with the help of AI tools. Before anything goes live, a person on our team checks each statement of fact against the record it came from. That is why the byline reads Downtown Delray Beach Editorial Team rather than an invented writer.
No paid placements
Nothing here is a paid listing, and this guide does not show homes for sale. If a local sponsor is ever added, it will carry a clear sponsored label where it appears. Questions about that go through the contact page.
Send us a correction
If a permit rule changes, a street closure moves or an event is cancelled, tell us at info@lperealty.com or through the contact page. We check the change on the organisation’s page, update the record and the date beside it.
Dates, rules and hours can change. The organisers have the final word: City of Delray Beach (official site)
