Delray Beach resident parking permits: the full answer

The short answer

The Delray Beach, Florida resident parking answer, from City pages: the $12-a-year City Resident Downtown permit and exactly where it is valid, the $90 downtown-resident tier for buildings without parking, beach permits at $90, the digital-permit switch, ParkMobile's resident discount and the payment quirks. Every figure carries its City source, checked October 24, 2026.

Last checked October 31, 2026

The City’s permit pages rank first for this question but return 403 to automated fetches – so this page exists to be the fetchable, sourced version, with every figure carrying the City page it came from and the date we checked it (October 24, 2026). The visitor side of parking – where to park for a beach day or a night out – is our sister Atlantic Avenue guide’s page; this one is residents only.

The $12 City Resident Downtown permit

The baseline permit buys parking without payment in the designated downtown garages, surface lots and side streets – not the beach lots. Proof is your City residency: vehicle registration and driver’s license, with a utility bill or lease if those do not show a City address. Permits went digital: no decal, the permit attaches to your vehicle’s plate record once approved. Early sales for current holders began September 21, 2026; open sales October 1; the permit year runs October 1 to September 30.

  • The City Resident Downtown Parking Permit applies to anyone who resides in the City of Delray Beach city limits; each permit costs $12 per year, valid Oct. 1 – Sept. 30, and is prorated to $6 if purchased after April 1. Only two permits are allowed per housing unit, vehicle registration must be provided for each vehicle, and price is per permit. City of Delray Beach: City Resident Downtown Parking
  • To purchase a City Resident Downtown parking permit you must show proof of City residency with your vehicle registration and driver's license; if those do not show a Delray Beach address, property owners may present a current utility bill with government ID or a valid Florida voter registration card, and lessees a copy of a current signed lease with ID or voter card (month-to-month leases are not accepted). All outstanding City parking citations must be paid at time of purchase. City of Delray Beach: City Resident Downtown Parking
  • The City Resident Downtown Parking Permit is valid only in designated garages, surface lots and side-streets in Downtown Delray (this does not include the beach), and allows free parking seven days a week in those designated areas. If your building has no parking

The Downtown Resident permit is the tier for exactly that: $90 plus tax a year for specified garages and lots, seven days a week, all day and overnight, without hourly limits – the Old School Square, Robert Federspiel and 4th & 5th garages among the locations. For a condo buyer, the real question is whether the building’s deeded or assigned parking makes either tier unnecessary; our building guide frames it per building.

  • The Downtown Resident Parking Permit is for those living in the downtown Delray Beach area where residential parking is not provided; it costs $90 plus tax per year (prorated to $45 plus tax if purchased after April 1) and permits are valid Oct. 1 – Sept. 30 each year. What the City does not publish

Monthly garage rates, any evening flat-rate program, and a consolidated current rate schedule for every garage and lot: none is on the City’s current pages (October 24, 2026). A ‘W. Atlantic garage’ appears in cached versions of City content but not on the current Find Parking page. Where a number matters, the parking office is the source of record.

  • The City's Find Parking page lists public downtown parking including: Old School Square Parking Garage (95 NE 1st Ave), Robert Federspiel Garage (22 SE 1st Ave), 4th and 5th Delray Garage (25 SE 4th Ave), Delray Beach Court House Garage/Library lot (100 W Atlantic Ave), Roy M. Simon Lot (25 NE 3rd Ave), Village lot (50 SE 6th Ave), Gladiola Lot (51 SE 6th Ave), Bankers Row lot (200 NE 1st Ave), City Hall Lot (100 NW 1st Ave), Cason Cottage Lot (5 NE 1st St), Monterey House Lot (37 NW 1st Ave), Veterans Park lot (802 NE 1st Ave), and beach facilities Anchor Park (340 S Ocean Blvd), Sandoway Lot (142 S Ocean Blvd), Ingraham Lot (142 S Ocean Blvd), Atlantic Dunes Park Lots (1605 S Ocean Blvd), Orange Grove Lot (10 N Ocean Blvd), Gleason Lot (50 Gleason St), and Beach On-Street Parking (A1A from Casuarina Rd. to Beach Dr.).
